Michael Saxon is an Associate Attorney in the Midwest Foreclosure Group, where he supports the firm’s default servicing practice in Illinois. Michael joined MRLP in 2026.
Prior to joining MRLP, Michael spent three years working as a legal writer in the business immigration field. In that role, he developed strong client service, communication, and problem‑solving skills, which continue to inform his approach to legal work. He also previously served as a law clerk in an employee benefits claims clinic, where he worked on ERISA claims involving long‑term disability benefits, providing him with experience analyzing complex claims and advocating on behalf of clients with varying needs.
Michael is recognized for his thoughtful and solutions‑oriented approach to his work. His professional strengths include strategic thinking, adaptability, effective communication, and a strong commitment to problem solving. He brings optimism, determination, and a collaborative mindset to his role, contributing positively to both client outcomes and team dynamics.
Outside of his practice, Michael enjoys creative writing and participating in sports. He is actively involved in LGBTQ+ advocacy and mental health awareness and is a member of the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association, where he participates in LGBTQ+ sports leagues. He is also a member of LAGBAC, Chicago’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association.
