Laura Coughlin is a Partner in the West Coast Foreclosure practice group at MRLP where she oversees regulatory and operational compliance across the region. Since joining the firm in 2022 as Managing Attorney in Washington, she has drawn on over a decade of experience in foreclosure and litigation to drive efficient, strategic solutions.
Laura began her career in the default servicing industry in administrative and paralegal roles, giving her a unique, full-picture understanding of how legal and regulatory changes impact every level of the process. She has experience in bankruptcy, litigation, trial work and appellate work.
Known for her ability to think outside the box, Laura excels at navigating legal complexity and implementing change with precision. She is also an active speaker and panelist at industry events, including the United Trustees Association and Default Exchange Group.
In her free time, Laura enjoys reading, travel, DIY projects, stand-up comedy, and spending time with her Boston Terrier, Loki.
