Jennifer Murphy rejoined MRLP in July 2025 as a Senior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Southeast Litigation group. She is based in Texas and focuses her practice within the state. She previously served as Of Counsel with the firm from October 2022 to May 2024. With more than 25 years of litigation experience, Jennifer brings a strong track record of delivering strategic, client-focused legal solutions.
Jennifer is widely recognized for her thorough preparation, calmness under pressure, and results-driven approach. Her return to the firm reflects her alignment with MRLP’s values and her unwavering commitment to serving clients with integrity, responsiveness, and professionalism.
Jennifer’s experience spans a broad range of legal areas, including business and commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance defense, intellectual property litigation, and real estate closings. She has dedicated 18 years to real estate litigation and bankruptcy which includes eight years of experience in foreclosure.
With both trial and appellate experience, Jennifer is known for her strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication. She is client-service oriented, ethically grounded, and respected for her compassionate advocacy and ability to navigate complex matters with poise and precision.
Earlier in her career, Jennifer served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable U.S. District Judge Jerry Buchmeyer in the Northern District of Texas (2001–2002), an experience that laid the foundation for her thoughtful and disciplined legal approach.
Outside the office, Jennifer is a passionate supporter of the arts and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Kemp Center for the Arts. She enjoys watching football—particularly the SMU Mustangs, TCU Horned Frogs, and Dallas Cowboys—as well as traveling, discovering new restaurants, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
