Jay Lutfi is the Director of the West Coast Foreclosure Team at MRLP, where he is responsible for overseeing foreclosure operations across California. He joined MRLP in 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience in foreclosure operations, auction execution, and client portfolio management.
Prior to joining MRLP, Jay spent 13 years with a national auction platform, where he held progressively senior roles including Operations Supervisor and Reports Specialist, Client Data Portfolio Manager, and Foreclosure Operations and Escalation Manager. In these roles, he managed data intake from law firms and clients, oversaw day-to-day foreclosure processes, and supported live auction execution. His experience also includes managing client portfolios and developing a comprehensive understanding of foreclosure auction products and operational workflows.
Jay is a strategic thinker who leverages data and analytical reasoning to identify efficiencies and implement process improvements. He is known for his proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively across teams. His leadership style emphasizes continuous improvement, collaboration, and a detailed understanding of how operational functions integrate to support client outcomes.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Jay enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures and languages. He is also a fan of live comedy and participates in community volunteer efforts, including beach clean-up initiatives and charitable events such as the Alzheimer’s Walk, Race for the Cure, and March of Dimes.
