Elizabeth H. Parrott “Liz” joined MRLP in 2021 and currently serves as an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Bankruptcy Group. She brings nearly three decades of experience in Bankruptcy courts in Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Liz has decades of diverse legal experience with a strong focus on creditor bankruptcy, collections, title, and default servicing. She has worked in both private practice and executive leadership, including owning her own solo firm and managing regional and national operations at a creditors’ rights law firm.
Her background includes extensive work in bankruptcy from both the debtor and creditor perspectives, as well as litigation, landlord/tenant issues, corporate law, probate, family law, and more. Known for her ability to assess legal matters from all angles, Liz is a compassionate and ethical advocate with a reputation for resolving matters through strong relationships with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel.
Beyond her legal practice, Liz is highly involved in civic and community life. She has held leadership roles with bar associations, judged mock trial competitions, and actively serves in a wide range of nonprofit, historical, and neighborhood organizations.
