Robyn Katz, Managing Partner Florida FC
“If you want to lift up humanity, empower women. It is the most comprehensive, pervasive, high-leverage investment you can make in human beings.” – Melinda Gates
My name is Robyn Katz, and I am the proud managing partner over our firm’s Florida Foreclosure department. I am honored to lead the women’s employee resource group here at McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLC. It takes effort to create a diverse and inclusive workplace and one of the ways to do this is to have employee resource groups to help diverse groups of employees find connection and support. My goal is to create a safe space for employees to share their experiences and to be supported by peers and mentors. I would encourage all of you to get involved in one of these employee resource groups. Through this group we will strive to:
- Provide a forum for discussions and the exchange of ideas on matters of interest to women and our allies at MRLP
- Provide a collective voice on matters of interest to female co-workers
- Foster a greater sense of inclusion for female co-workers
- Provide an opportunity for female co-workers and their allies – to meet and connect personally and professionally
- Promote an environment that supports the recruitment, retention, and professional growth and development of female employees
Our first meeting will be on June 3, 2022, at 2pm. It will be a book club discussion where we will explore humanitarian and philanthropist Melinda Gates’ book, “The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Woman Changes the World”. This book is an eyeopening look into gender inequality around the world and the profound positive impact of investing in women. The stories highlighted by Gates show the power that women have to create global change. After reading this book, you will have a better understanding of the challenges faced by women around the world and be inspired to become a change agent within your daily life. If you are interested in joining our Women’s ERG, please email Clara Bray at clara.bray@mccalla.com. In your email, please indicate whether you will be joining us for the book club discussion and the address where you would like your book sent.
