Jun 10, 2024

The Ruth Cheatham Foundation (TRCF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adolescents and young adults impacted by cancer. Established in honor of Ruth Cheatham, a passionate educator, TRCF provides scholarships and tutoring to help young cancer survivors thrive academically.

MRLP is proud to solidify its ongoing commitment to TRCF through its continued sponsorship of the annual Ruth Cheatham Foundation Gala. This year’s event, the 2024 TRCF Black & White Gala, held on May 18th, was a huge success and beacon of hope, raising critical funds to support the educational journeys of young adults battling cancer.

MRLP’s dedication to TRCF extends far beyond its financial sponsorship, we recognize that financial contributions are just one piece of the puzzle and are committed to fostering a culture of active participation and dedication within our team. This year’s TRCF Black & White Gala exemplified MRLP’s commitment through the tireless efforts of Clara Bullock (Bray) and Brian Vaughn, both valued members of the MRLP team.

Brian’s unwavering dedication goes beyond the single night of the Gala. As a member of TRCF Board of Directors, Brian plays a crucial role in shaping the foundation’s strategic direction and championing its fundraising endeavors. His expertise and advocacy ensure TRCF’s programs continue to empower teen cancer survivors through critical academic support.

Clara and Brian’s dedication exemplify MRLP’s philosophy of going beyond simply writing a check; we actively invest our time and talent to maximize the impact of our support. The 2024 TRCF Black & White Gala, fueled by the collaborative efforts of sponsors like MRLP and dedicated individuals like Clara and Brian, raised significant funds that directly translate to scholarships and academic programs, empowering teen cancer survivors to thrive in their educational pursuits.
